Helix Antenna

The helix antenna shown above was designed by Mike Cook AF9Y. The helix is made from 4 inch; PVC pipe and 1/4
inch copper tubing and is 10 feet long, He is using 4 of them in an phased array to detect the signals from the Mars
Observer. His project was very successful.
I plotted the radiation pattern of the antenna using EZNEC antenna plotting software. The next step is to build
a prototype of  the antenna and then measur
e the actual gain and radiation pattern.
